Teens Ages 13-15

NYC Dance Alliance seeks to provide Teen dancers (ages 13-15) with a professional New York audition experience through a scholarship audition class. Audition class will consist of a short ballet and jazz combination.
- Only auditionees and registered Teachers will be given access to the audition ballroom. Absolutely no observers.
- An elimination round may occur during the audition class.
- At the completion of the audition class, doors will be open to all students and observers for the “Convention Finale” which will include final scholarship performances, judging, and awards.
- Dancers (13-15) will be evaluated within their own age group in the final audition and awarded scholarships separately from Seniors.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

- Dancers must be registered for the entire workshop as a Teen - ages 13-15 only (NEW! age as of January 1, 2013) and take class in the Senior Ballroom*.
- Dancers will be assigned numbers to wear in all classes during the convention weekend. Dancers may be asked to perform combinations from workshop classes during final audition judging.
- Dancers planning to attend the Scholarship Audition class must notify the registration desk by Saturday 8:15 AM. Pre-registration will be accepted by mail with initial workshop registration.
* NEW!! A separate Teen Ballroom (5th workshop ballroom) will be added in select cities!
Two dancers in each city will be recognized with the NYCDA 2012-2013 Regional Teen Outstanding Dancer Award. This presentation includes a special CAPEZIO Gift Card, scholarships to STEPS ON BROADWAY, PERIDANCE CENTER and BROADWAY DANCE CENTER and a NYCDA 2013 National Season Finale! Workshop Scholarship.
Two or more additional dancers in each city will receive a NYCDA 2013 National Season Finale! Workshop Scholarship as Regional runners-up.
All Teen scholarship winners and runners-up from the Regional NYCDA Scholarship Audition Class will be eligible to participate in the National NYCDA Teen Outstanding Dancer Audition in July of 2013. Cash awards and Scholarships will be presented.
Unless registered as independents, all regional scholarship winners will represent their registered studio for that city and at Nationals. Scholarship awards are not transferable to another studio, unless both teachers consent. Scholarship winners may attend Nationals as independents.
