REGIONAL, NATIONAL, AND SUMMER INTENSIVE FACULTY

Joey has been teaching, performing and choreographing in NYC for years. She danced on Mariah Carey's “Butterfly” World Tour, the “MTV Video Music Awards” w/ JLo, the “VH1 Vogue Fashion Awards” w/ Macy Gray, the “Victoria Secret Fashion Show”, “Sex & the City”, “Guiding Light”, “Chicago: the Movie”, and “The Producers” (movie). She appeared on Broadway as ‘Elaine’ in “Sweet Charity”, ‘Vibrata’ in “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum”, and in “Dance of The Vampires”. She was a ‘Rockette’ at Radio City and was a featured in “The Mambo Kings”. Currently, she is the Associate Choreographer for the Tony Award winning Broadway hit “In The Heights”, as well as the Encore Summer Series THE WIZ. This summer she was seen as one of the new Choreographer's on “So You Think You Can Dance”. She teaches at BDC in NYC and guest teaches in Amsterdam, London, and around the US. Her love of fashion and dance inspired her and sister Jacki to create a dancewear line called: JOANDJAX.COM..... check it out! Her teaches young dancers the importance of "Having it All!"
