JUNIOR OUTSTANDING DANCER SCHOLARSHIPS
NYC Dance Alliance seeks to informally introduce young dancers
(11-12) to the NYC audition experience. Sunday is the designated
Jr. Scholarship Day.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
1) Dancers must be registered for entire workshop as a Junior -
ages 11-12 only (age as of Regional Convention date).
2) Dancers will be assigned numbers and attendance will be monitored
in all classes on Sunday only. Auditioning dancers will be asked
to perform combinations from workshop classes and will be evaluated
within their own age group. Final scholarships will be presented
at the Convention Finale. 3) All interested dancers must be registered for the scholarship audition by 8:00AM on Sunday. Preregistration will be accepted by mail with initial workshop registration.
Two Junior dancers in each city will be recognized with the NYCDA 2009-2010 Regional Junior Outstanding Dancer Award. This presentation includes a NYCDA 2010 National Season Finale! Workshop Scholarship and a special Sponsorship Award.
Two or more additional Junior dancers will each receive a NYCDA 2010 National Season Finale! Workshop Scholarship, as runners-up.
All Junior winners from the Regional Scholarship Audition will be eligible to participate in the National NYCDA Junior Outstanding Dancer Audition in July of 2010 Cash awards and Scholarships will be presented.
Unless registered as independents, all regional scholarship
winners will represent their registered studio for that city and
at Nationals. Scholarship awards are not transferable to another
studio, unless both teachers consent. Scholarship winners may attend
Nationals as independents.

Mini Scholarship Day.

7-10 only (age as of Regional Convention date).
2) Dancers will be assigned numbers and attendance will be monitored
in all classes on Sunday only. Auditioning dancers will be asked
to perform combinations from workshop classes and will be evaluated
within their own age group. Final scholarships will be presented
at the Convention Finale.
