CURRENTLY SEEKING: Assistant Company Manager/Assistant Production Manager

New York City Dance Alliance (NYCDA) is looking for an Assistant Company Manager/Production Manager. This will be an entry-level position ideally for someone with 1-2 years of company manager/production experience with a dance company, theatre company. There is room for growth with this position.

The primary focus of the job will be to assist our company manager with the travel arrangements for a 50-person touring team. NYCDA currently produces approximately 40 events a year, throughout the United States, with 15-25 people traveling per event. The bulk of our events are executed from November to May and July.

Other tasks may include, but are not limited to, assisting the production manager with inventory and venue advancement, traveling to our events to work as part of the event execution team, packing restock items for the tour, tracking office IT equipment and supplies, etc.

Working some nights and weekends will be required as needed to work our live events. While some remote work is possible, the job does require an in-person presence at our West New York, NJ office the majority of the week. Some alternating weekends of stand-by coverage related to travel changes may be required.

New York City Dance Alliance (NYCDA) produces the premier educational Dance Convention National Tour throughout the United States. NYCDA also has a not-for-profit component, the NYC Dance Alliance Foundation, which awards college scholarships to dancers and produces two fundraising events a year – Desitny Rising, a dance concert at the Joyce Theater, as well as the annual Chita Rivera Awards.

Salary is $700-$900 per week based on experience. Position is 9-10 months a year. When traveling, all airfare, ground transportation and double occupancy hotel is provided by the company along with per diem and/or meals.
